First Ddeokbokki and Kimchi Experience

As of 2008 I've been a big fan of K-Culture. Without having much thought, I started getting curious about their food. At that time, there was only a few restaurant that offer Korean cuisine and it really made me depress. There was never a restaurant within our area offer a cheap Korean food.

When 2014 came, my friends and I spotted a food stall in SM Bacoor's food court. That stall was called Mr. Kimbob. It serves different types of Korean cuisine from Kimchi to Bulgogi and many more! My urge to eat Korean food pushed me to ask my friends if we can buy something from that stall. That day we spend almost all of our money so we doesn't have much money to pay for individual meals. We decided to combined all of our remaining money and buy what we can. Although the prices in that stall seems a bit cheap, we couldn't afford to buy 3 meals so we bought one ddeokbokki and two kimchi.

Ddeokbokki also known as Spicy Korean Rice Cake is a popular Korean food made from soft rice cake, fish cake, and sweet red chili sauce called gochujang. It is purchased from street vendors or pojangmacha. (Wikipedia). We bought that Ddeokbokki in Mr.Kimbob for Php99 ($2).

During that time I was so happy, "At last! A Korean Food".  It was 2 years ago and I already forgot the taste of ddeokbokki. Ever since that day, I haven't taste Ddeokbokki again because I've been busy in my studies. Now that I remember it, I hope I could buy a ddeokbokki again, when that happen I'll full review about it. See please wait for it okay?

Aside from Ddeokbokki, we also managed to buy a Kimchi. This spicy pickled cabbage(veggie)  was called the traditional dish of Korea. It is a fermented Korean side dish made of vegetables with a variety of seasonings. It cost us Php 29 ($0.62) each bowl. We managed to buy 2 bowl. The first thing we noticed were its smell.(Well, that's the only thing I remembered anyway!).
It was really a memorable experience. I mean, who wouldn't forgot a moment when all your friends help you to buy what you want without even complaining. Well they wouldn't complain about it anyway because just like me, they all were pond of K-culture too.

Here are photos of my friends and I enjoying our first Ddeokbokki and Kimchi Experience.
